13 years for Angelo Moratti (1955-68) and 13 years for his son Massimo Moratti ('95-2004, 2006-2013) as President of Inter Milan. Inter was part of the Moratti family, not only a President of the club but its number one fan. All the actions Moratti took from the very first day to the very last was not from him pen but from his heart. We will all miss that gentlerman observing his team from the stands who was always present to see the games in both times of triumph and times of defeat. A President always ready to suffer together with the team in bitter times and yet not give up...to finally hit the poker! Season 2009-2010 history will remember when Inter Milan was the first Italian team to win the Treble (UEFA Champions league, League title and the Italian cup) 23 titles have filled the Nerazzuri hall of fame since he took over the club.
Now there is a new name on Inter Milan's future and it is no Sheikh nor any Russian billionare. The names Thohir...Erick Thohir the Indonesian tycoon. Now holding 70% of Inter's shares while the new owner has excepted to keep Angelo Moratti son of Massimo Moratti within the club. With little history of Serie A experience Thohir has promised a star player to add to Walter Mazzaris squad. There is great expectation amognst the Inter fans to get the team back to their bright days and far away from this economic crisis from which Inter was unable to compete at high levels since 2010. The Indonesian tycoon will be arriving tomorrow to Milano where the fans will be waiting...hoping whether their future is in safe hands or not. What we all can be sure of is that Massimo Moratti took all the time needed to finally decide that Thohir was the right choicefor this club.
Dear President.... this will never be a farewell.....a goodbye is more appropriate, for you and Inter can never be parted. Arrivederci!
