Serie A: Inter misses chance for 3rd spot

Inter with a positive start in the Thohir era speaking of football. The ideas were there, the players were looking for a win and there was good feeling amognst Mazzarri's boys. Unfortunately for a ball lost in midfield Bologna opened the scorings with Panagiotis Kone. After several attempts Brazilian winger Jonathan put the score level again with a lucky deflection of the Rossoblu defender Sorensen. Till the dying minutes of the game with two occasions seeing the ball hitting the upright, saw Inter's intensions to overtake Napoli vanish. Nonetheless, Inter Milan strengthened 4th spot after Fiorentina suffered a surprising 1-0 loss against Udinese.

Inter Tho-hir era

Yesterday 16th November 2013, seems as though Thohir ascended directly from Asgard through lightning right to the Pinetina.

This is the tale of not Thor the great but Thohir the tycoon!...He might not have blond hair nor the heavy hammer beside him, but he has a tale or two to tell us all of how he will bring Inter to be known all over the WORLD!!

After a pleasant presentation along with Massimo Moratti, Thohir's final words were "Chi non salta rossonero è"....what a start..The Thohir era has begun!

Welcome back Javier Zanetti

In these times, football is loosing great leaders like Javier Zanetti, Paolo Maldini, Francesco Totti or Alex Del Piero. In a now ever more complex world of football, the players are more interested in participating in important competitions, playing in the prestigious clubs of the most important leagues and quiet often even polishing up their contracts.

Speaking of real passion, Zanetti is completing his 18th year playing for Inter Milan. Every year the Argentian defender has completed an average of 50 presences during the season, speaking of first team football. Pupi (little boy) unfortunately suffered an injury (he isn't the Man of steel but one might think he could be) in April at 40 years of age, making most of the fans think that our one and only captain will decide to retire. To everyones astonishment but happiness, Zanetti declared that he had no intention in retiring yet! After 6 months, on the 9th of November 2013, the Captain entered San Siro once again in the dying minutes of the game against Livorno. Not only did our leader give us the joy to see him play again, he was even crucial in helping Inter Milan seal the victory!

Farewell Massimo Moratti

13 years for Angelo Moratti (1955-68) and 13 years for his son Massimo Moratti ('95-2004, 2006-2013)  as President of Inter Milan. Inter was part of the Moratti family, not only a President of the club but its number one fan. All the actions Moratti took from the very first day to the very last was not from him pen but from his heart. We will all miss that gentlerman observing his team from the stands who was always present to see the games in both times of triumph and times of defeat. A President always ready to suffer together with the team in bitter times and yet not give up...to finally hit the poker! Season 2009-2010 history will remember when Inter Milan was the first Italian team to win the Treble (UEFA Champions league, League title and the Italian cup)  23 titles have filled the Nerazzuri hall of fame since he took over the club.
